Off-Platform & Commission Evasion Policy

All transactions initiated through SHOP KIJIJI must be completed through the platform.

Vendors may not:

Direct customers to pay off-platform
Share external payment links
Move transactions to WhatsApp, email, Instagram, etc.
Adjust pricing offline to reduce platform commission
Use “deposit only” listings to complete sales offsite

Commission Protection Clause

If KIJIJI determines a sale occurred off-platform after platform contact, KIJIJI may invoice:

Estimated lost commission
$100 administrative penalty per incident

Audit Rights

KIJIJI may request transaction verification if evasion is suspected.

Consequences

1st offense → Warning

2nd offense → 30-day suspension

3rd offense → Permanent removal + forfeiture of pending payouts
